We, being Lindsay Irving (proprietor) and Claira Irving (manageress), established Memory65 in July 2016, to continue to provide Castelnau-Magnoac and our fellow local inhabitants with a reliable, good quality restaurant, and a bar with a broad selection, that is open late into the evening.
We have lived in Castelnau-Magnoac for 11 years, and the business of running Memory65 effectively consolidates our commitment and pleasure to be a key part of the local community, which we expect to continue enjoying for many years to come. So, we both look forward to seeing you soon.
The magic of Memory65 is of course to be discovered in our delicious meals, and these are made with loving care by our culinary team, which comprises: Maeva Grillon, Damien Esquiva, and Nathalie Belling.
The Memory Bar
Memory65 is the name of the restaurant and bar currently operating from the premises historically known as ‘The Memory Bar’, so called in order to commemorate Corps franc Pommiès - a key French Resistance group that communicated via the former café "Bouges" situated here during WWII.
For further information concerning General André Pommiès and the museum adjoining The Memory Bar, please see:
- musee-franc-pommies.com - now only available via the Web.Archive.org
Prior to Memory65, The Memory Bar has housed ‘Bar Le Tarragon’, and prior to that ‘Chez Loly’.
